You can add this service to your planning package if you don’t have time to assemble, stamp, and mail invitations. Your planner can gather, stamp, and mail invitations (including stamping RSVP envelopes). As part of this service, your planner will take a completed invitation to the post office to determine the necessary postage. If you hire a calligrapher, your planner will coordinate the logistics of getting the invitation envelopes to the calligrapher for addressing.

Invitation assembly pricing starts at $1.25 per set for basic stuffing and stamping. There is an additional $1 per envelope for ribbons, envelope liners, bellybands, pocket folds, and seals.

You may want to remind clients that the cost of invitations, postage, calligraphy, and addressing of invitations is not included in these fees. This seems obvious, but it’s better to over-communicate than to have a battle over charges after the invitations are sent.

Providing these services for invitations can be tedious work. I recommend only offering this service if you are a perfectionist and love doing this work. If you have a reliable assistant or staff who can do this work on behalf of
your business that works well too.
